Service 01 — Web Design & Development

Website design and development, built for your business.

Custom sites built from scratch, designed around what your business actually needs to do — then built to stay fast and stay editable after we hand it over.

  • Timeline agreed upfront
  • Costs agreed upfront
  • Built to stay editable
  • You own everything

The work itself

What this actually
involves.

Plain description, no packaging. This is the work you are paying for.

A website project here starts with your business, not a layout. We work out what the site has to achieve, who it is talking to, and what has to happen for someone to get in touch or buy. Only then does anything get designed.

From there it is structure, then design, then build. You approve the homepage design before anything else is built, so there is no reveal at the end. Everything is set up so your team can change content later without breaking a layout.

What you get at the end is a site you own outright, that your team can run, and that does not need us in order to keep working.

What's included

Everything the site
needs, from day one.

No guesswork and no surprise line items. This is what is part of every website we design and build.

01

Business & brand websites

Sites that explain what you do and turn interest into enquiries. Built for service businesses, consultancies and brands where the first impression decides whether the conversation happens.

02

Online stores

Clean product pages, a checkout that does not lose people, and a back end you can run day to day. WooCommerce or Shopify, whichever genuinely fits the business.

03

Fast, mobile-first pages

Most of your visitors arrive on a phone, so that is where the design starts. Pages are built to load quickly and read properly at every width, not shrunk down afterwards.

04

Website redesigns

Already have a site that is underperforming? We rework tired, slow or confusing sites into something that reflects where the business is now — usually without starting from zero.

05

Easy to manage yourself

We set the site up so everyday edits are simple, then walk your team through it, so text, images and pages can be updated without needing us for every small change.

06

Support after launch

Launch day is not a hand-off and goodbye. We stay available to sort out anything that surfaces once real people are using the site.

Already have a site and not sure whether it needs rebuilding or fixing?

Send it to us and we'll tell you straight

How we work on it

From first message,
to launch day.

You always know where the build stands and what happens next.

  1. 01

We start by understanding the business

Before anything is designed we get clear on what you do, who you are trying to reach, and what the site has to achieve.

  2. 02

    We plan the structure

We map the pages and how visitors move through them, so the site is organised around how people actually decide — not a list of pages.

  3. 03

You approve the homepage design first

We design the homepage and you sign it off before anything else is built. Once that direction is agreed, every remaining page is built to the same design system, so the site stays consistent instead of drifting page by page.

  4. 04

    We build it properly

Speed, a tidy structure behind the scenes, mobile layouts that hold up, and an admin area that is genuinely easy for you to use.

  5. 05

    We launch with care

Tested across devices, forms and links checked, redirects mapped. We go live once it is ready, not on a fixed date regardless.

  6. 06

    We review and refine

A launch is a starting point. We look at how the site behaves with real visitors and tidy up anything worth adjusting.

Fit

Where this fits —
and where it doesn't.

We would rather tell you now than three weeks into a project.

This is a good fit if

  • Your current site is losing enquiries and you can see it in the numbers
  • You need the site to explain something genuinely specific about your business
  • Your team needs to edit content without calling an agency every time
  • You want to own the build outright, with no licences tied to us
  • You are replacing a site that was built on a theme and has stopped scaling

This is not the right fit if

  • You need something live in a few days — a custom build takes longer than a template
  • You are looking for the cheapest option. Building from scratch costs more than adapting a theme, and we would rather say so
  • You want a guaranteed ranking or a guaranteed conversion rate. Nobody can honestly promise either
  • You need ads, social or ongoing marketing management — we do not offer those

Questions

Questions we get
about web builds.

Yours isn't here?

Ask directly and you'll get a straight answer, not a sales call.

Ask a question
How long does a website take to build?

It depends on size and scope — a focused few-page site moves faster than a large one or a store. Once we understand what you need we give you a realistic timeframe up front and tell you early if anything is going to move.

What will the site be built on?

Whatever genuinely fits the project. We pick the platform around what the site has to do and how your team will run it, then explain the choice before we start — rather than defaulting to the same tool for every client.

Do you use templates?

No. Every site is built for the business it belongs to. That takes longer than adapting a theme, which is reflected in what we charge and in what you get.

How much does a website cost?

Every project is costed on what it actually involves, and agreed in writing before we start. It depends on the number of pages, whether you need a store, and how much is custom. Tell us what you need and we'll come back with an indication of cost rather than a headline figure.

Will I be able to update the site myself?

Yes, and we set it up that way on purpose. Text, images and new pages are straightforward, and we walk your team through it at handover.

Who owns the website when it's finished?

You do — the site, the content and the accounts, in full. No lock-in, nothing held back, no licences that stay with us.

Can you improve my existing site instead of rebuilding it?

Often, yes. If the current site has a decent foundation, targeted improvements can get you there without starting from scratch. We'll look at what you have and give you an honest recommendation either way.

Tell us what the site needs to do.

Send us your current site or describe what you're planning. You'll get a straight answer on what we'd do, roughly what it costs, and whether we're the right studio for it.

No pitch deck. If we're not the right studio for it, we'll say so.
